Changing a workout
Your plan is a starting point, not a contract. Life gets in the way, and sometimes a workout just doesn't fit the day. Changing it is part of the plan working, not a failure.
Change a workout
Open the workout — tap it on Home or the Plan tab — and tap Change. You'll see:
- Do something shorter. Opens the workout's Edit tab, where you can set a shorter duration on steady rows, or change the stroke rate range. Tap Save changes.
- Choose another workout. Pick a different workout from the library for that day.
- Move to another date. Reschedule it to any day within your plan.
- Swap with another day. Trade it with another workout this week.
- Skip this workout. Take it off this week. Your plan is updated, and you're still on track for your goal.
- Away or sick. Take a few days off your plan (see below).
When a change would put two hard sessions back to back, or otherwise stretch your week, Norvin tells you before you save.
Away or sick
Travelling, ill, or under a lot of stress? Tap Away or sick — from a workout's Change menu, or under This week on the Plan tab — and choose:
- Away or Sick — your sessions for those days come off the plan.
- High stress — only the hard sessions come off; easy rowing stays.
Pick the first day (yesterday, today or tomorrow) and how many days, then Update plan. The time off doesn't count against you, and after Sick, your first session back is eased too.
Past sessions
For a planned session that's already passed, tap Did it if you rowed it somewhere Norvin couldn't see, or Skipped if you didn't. Rowed it on another machine? Log the row and it completes the session.
Doing something else instead
If you cross-train on a day with a planned row — a run or a ride that shows up from a connected account — Home asks whether it replaced the row. Tap Yes, substitute to count it as the session, or No, dismiss if it didn't replace it.
On the web
At norvin.fit, open your plan and switch to Edit to change a workout's type from the library, move it to another date or remove it. On a workout, Adjust Workout changes its duration or number of repetitions. Saving checks the week still makes sense first.
How changes feed back
Every change — shorter, swapped, moved, skipped or substituted — counts as real information. Your plan carries on from what you actually did, not the original schedule.
