Immersive scenes
Immersive mode turns the live screen into a place you row through, with your pace and targets still on top. It is part of Norvin membership.
Choosing a view
Pick the view before you start, under View on the screen where you tap Start workout. Numbers keeps your numbers full size with no scene. Tap a scene again to preview it, and your most recent choice comes first next time.
- Dawn Glass — a glassy mountain lake in early morning light.
- Night Course — down a buoyed lane by moonlight.
- Desert River — golden hour down a canyon river between sandstone walls.
- Arctic Floe — a blue-hour fjord among sea ice, under a slow aurora.
- City River — blue hour on a city river, rowing under its bridges.
- Glowing Bay — a bioluminescent bay under the Milky Way, lit by your pull.
- Rain Squall — a slate lake under a storm front, light breaking through.
- Sea Cliffs — sunset on the open sea under towering basalt sea cliffs.
- Winter Snowfall — winter dusk on a mountain lake, snow falling, one lit cabin.
- Fog Dawn — a river lost in dawn fog, the sun a pale disc ahead.
- Atoll Lagoon — late morning in a turquoise atoll lagoon, over white sand.
- Cherry Canal — spring dusk on a stone canal, under cherry blossom and lanterns.
Mid-row, tap the scene button at the top of the live screen to switch scenes, or the immersive button next to it to go back to your numbers.
How it moves
Your speed moves you through the scene: row faster and you travel faster. On a PM5 the scene also follows each stroke, from the catch through the slide. On other Bluetooth rowers it follows your speed but not each stroke.
Motion and haptics
In Profile › Scenes & motion, choose Reduced instead of Full motion for a calmer scene, choose your scene, and turn on Stroke haptics for a brief tap at the catch and a lighter one at the finish. If Reduce Motion is on in your iPhone's accessibility settings, the scene holds still and stroke haptics stay quiet.
Row with the Norvin app
Rowing happens in the Norvin app — it reads your erg live over Bluetooth.
